In 2025, Elevator Arts launched ZineLab, a 10-week creative project in partnership with Southend Libraries and Southend City Council Young Carers. Designed specifically for young carers, ZineLab provided a supportive space for participants to explore zine-making, visual storytelling, and self-expression. Under the guidance of artists Connor Turansky & Amber Merry, the group delved into traditional paper engineering techniques, combining tactile design with digital innovation to produce multi-sensory masterpieces. The project culminated in a celebratory exhibition at The Forum, Southend, where the young creators proudly showcased their work, reflecting their growth in confidence, creativity, and community connection.
