Labour of Love was a community quilt project celebrating motherhood through creativity and connection.

Participants used reclaimed and discarded fabrics to collaboratively create a quilt adorned with embroidered quotes reflecting their experiences of motherhood. The quilt symbolises solidarity and support for mothers, aiming to remind them that they are not alone on their journey. The project culminated in an unveiling event hosted by Metal Southend at Chalkwell Hall.

The project provided a platform for mothers to share their stories, build connections and celebrate the beauty and resilience of motherhood through the art of quilting.
