Sound ON Sets Sail for a Creative Summer

The Summer term at Sound ON has kicked off with plenty of excitement, creativity, and new friendships as the group begin working on one of their most imaginative projects yet… designing and creating their very own Sound ON Island!

Welcoming new members into the group, the term has already been filled with energy and enthusiasm. From the very first session, the children have embraced the opportunity to use their imaginations, work together, and bring their ideas to life through drama, storytelling, and creative activities.

Together, the group have been busy imagining what their perfect island would look like. Through collaborative discussions and games, they have explored everything from who gets to visit the island, to what magical places and creatures might live there. No idea has been too big or too bold, with the children creating colourful worlds full of creativity.

As part of the project, the group have also been making their own boats, fish, and island decorations to help build their Island. These crafting activities encourage teamwork, problem solving, and self-expression, while giving every child the chance to contribute their own unique ideas.

At Sound ON, every term is built around a different creative theme that allows the children to explore drama, storytelling, and art in an engaging and supportive environment. Through drama games and group activities, participants develop confidence, communication skills, and social connections while having fun and expressing themselves creatively.

The sessions are designed to help children feel comfortable sharing ideas, trying new things, and working together as a team. By creating something collectively, the group gain a real sense of achievement and pride in what they have accomplished together.

This term’s island adventure is already shaping up to be a fantastic journey, and the creativity shown by the group so far has been inspiring to see. We cannot wait to watch Sound ON Island continue to grow over the coming weeks and to see their final creations.

Stay tuned for more updates from Sound ON as the Summer term continues!
