BLAST and The Lost Egg

A lost dinosaur egg, magic powers & a battle with super villains all featured in BLAST’s imaginative final performance this December.

On 6 December BLAST’s young performers had a brilliant end of term sharing of their work to friends & family at The Forum, Southend Central Library.

BLAST’s free drama sessions are for young people aged 8 -12 years, in partnership with Welcome To The UK and the pilot project this autumn was supported by National Lottery Community Fund & Postcode Places Trust.

“We’ve learnt to be more social, confident & team work.”

The project has already made a positive impact on the young people, improving confidence, language skills and reducing social isolation.

BLAST Autumn 21 was proudly supported by funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, players of the People’s Postcode Lottery through the Postcode Places Trust.

“I felt excited & nervous & I thought it would be good , but it was amazing really!”

This January we have a new home at the wonderful Twenty One - which means we can welcome more young people to the group.

For ages 8-12
