HIDDEN

VOICES

An Exhibition of Photography & Writing by Young Carers.

Monday 5 June - Wednesday 14 June 2023

Hidden Voices is a touching & joyful celebration of the experience of young carers.

Hidden Voices is a creative project in partnership with Kool Carers, working with young people ages 12-15 to amplify the voices of young carers and improve their mental health and wellbeing.  The project has been funded by Essex County Council’s Arts & Cultural Fund.

Young people worked with artists George Morgan & Laurence Harding exploring creative writing, digital & analogue photography & the camera-less technique of cyanotype.  Participants have created striking & poignant images with text and spoken word to create personal portraits of their lives, sharing their often hidden stories.
